First off the chief isn't a "shmoo" off the street, he's someone who's earned his way up the ranks of the fire dept. 2nd, the mayor is looking for a "yes" man who is more worried about renewing his contract than taking care of the fire dept and citizens!!

Give me a break, current cheif is out on stress leave. New fire cheif would have to be qualified for the job and would not be some shmoo off the street that has never put out a fire. Cheif should be contracted.
The mayor should leave the Fire Dept alone, he just wants to control everyone and every department; before you know it, we won't have any control of ourselves anymore. We have two years of this, thanks to the people that voted him in.
